Kevin Chicas

Overview

Kevin has spent more than a decade advising and defending California employers in complex labor and employment matters, from traditional labor law and collective bargaining to high-stakes discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and PAGA litigation. He represents both private and public sector employers, guiding HR executives and in-house legal teams through workplace investigations, reasonable accommodation questions, and day-to-day compliance long before a dispute ever reaches a courtroom.

Kevin's litigation experience spans claims brought under FEHA, Title VII, and the ADA, along with matters before California's Civil Rights Department, the NLRB, PERB, CalPERS, and the DLSE. He has argued before California's Fifth District Court of Appeal and served as chief negotiator for management in collective bargaining negotiations — experience that gives him a rare vantage point on both the litigation and labor relations sides of California employment law.
